Augustana Takes Day One Lead at Buffalo Ridge Invite

MARSHALL, MINN.: Augustana College shot an opening round team score of 316 and holds an 11-shot lead after round one of the Buffalo Ridge Invite held at Marshall Golf Club on Saturday. The second and final round will take place on Sunday at Bakker Crossing Golf Club in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Concordia-St. Paul is currently in second place with a score of 327, while Southwest Minnesota State is in third place at 341.
Augustana's Carly Roach leads the tournament with a 1-over par 73, while teammate Kaari Espeland is six shots back with a 79.
SMSU was led by freshman Sarah Peterson who carded a 10-over par 82 in her first collegiate round and is currently tied for fifth place. Junior Abby Oakland is in 10th place with a first round score of 84.
Round two will begin on Sunday morning at 10 a.m.
