Megan Stadler set a Southwest Minnesota State single-game record with 14 assists to lead her Mustangs to a 93-67 win over Minnesota, Crookston in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women’s basketball Saturday night in Marshall.

SMSU moves to 14-8 (8-7 NSIC), while UMC drops to 8-13 (6-9 NSIC).

Stadler passed the previous single-game record of 12 assists, which was set by Darcy Peterka on Feb. 17, 1992 against Minnesota Duluth. The senior was just one point shy of registering her first career double-double as she also finished with nine points.

MARSHALL, Minn. – Minnesota State Moorhead got a double-double from Meghan Rettke and outrebounded Southwest Minnesota State 51-29 to hand the Mustangs a 67-55 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference loss Friday night in Marshall.

MSUM improves to 16-5 (10-4 NSIC), while SMSU drops to 13-8 (7-7 NSIC).

The 22-rebound difference is the largest SMSU has experienced this season. this season.
