SMSU, Dakota Wesleyan Settle on 1-1 Tie in Exhibition

MARSHALL, Minn.
- Maggy Rouse scored Southwest Minnesota State's lone goal to help the Mustangs erase a one-goal deficit and tie visiting Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) 1-1 Saturday night at the Regional Event Center in an exhibition game.

Rouse found the net  with a header off a free kick from Tatum Borstad in the 81st minute.  The freshman had two shots on goal for the evening.

DWU was nursing a 1-0 advantage when Rouse struck for the Mustangs.  The Tigers managed their first goal late in the first half.

Kendra Olchefske recorded six saves in the net for SMSU.

Kate Voigt had three shots on goal for the Mustangs, while Courtney McCarthy tallied two of her own.

SMSU will continue with exhibition action on Wednesday at 6 p.m. when Augsburg visits the Regional Event Center.
