SMSU Baseball Finalize Fall World Series

MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State University baseball program has finalized the details of its annual baseball Fall World Series, which kicks off Monday, Sept. 28 at Alumni Field.  The Mustangs will split into two teams for a best-of-five series.

Game one will take place on Monday, Sept. 28 starting at 3:45 p.m., with game two on Tuesday, Sept. 29 beginning at 3:45 p.m.  Game three will be Saturday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m., followed by game four on Tuesday, Oct. 6 and game five on Wednesday, Oct. 7 both starting at 3:45 p.m.

All the games are free and open to the public.  Complete game recaps and results can be found at www.SMSUmustangs.com.  SMSU head coach Paul Blanchard, now in his 14th season as head coach, has 43 players on the fall roster.  The Mustangs finished 28-15 last season and made the program’s first-ever NCAA tournament appearance.
