Jon Millea is in his second year as an assistant coach for the SMSU men's basketball program in 2010-11.
During his first season on staff, SMSU finished 17-12 overall and advanced to the championship game of the NSIC tournament
Millea comes to SMSU after a four-year stint with the men's basketball team at Buena Vista (Iowa). While at BVU, Millea was named the program's most improved player during the 2008-09 season and was a member of a team that made it to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16 in 2007-08.
Millea has coached several AAU and select summer teams.
A native of Davenport, Iowa, Millea graduated from BVU in 2009. He is pursuing his master's degree in sports leadership at SMSU.
