Vanessa Paswaters enters her second season as an assistant coach with the SMSU women's soccer program in 2010.
Paswaters comes to SMSU after a successful playing career at South Dakota State, where she was a three-year starter. She finished her tenure with the Jacks ranked seventh in career minutes played with 3,304 and 24th in scoring with six points.
Paswaters was a member of SDSU's 2006 squad that won a United Soccer Conference championship and the 2008 team that won the Summit League title. She captained her team for three seasons, and during her senior season in 2008, Paswaters started 19 games, recorded four assists and had 11 shots on goal.
A native of Longmont, Colo., Paswaters hold a U.S. Soccer Federation "D' License.
Paswaters is pursing her master's of business administration at SMSU.
