Mustangs Host Bethel in Exhibition Action on Saturday

MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State women's basketball team will host Division III Bethel on Saturday at 3 p.m. in exhibition action to open the 2009-10 season. The game was originally scheduled for 1 p.m.
Ticket prices for Saturday’s game are $5 for adults and $3 for students. SMSU students with a valid ID will be admitted free. Season tickets will not be honored for this game.
Fans interested in purchasing 2009-10 season tickets or upgrading to chairback seats at the R/A Facility can do so on Saturday night or can contact Rolly in the SMSU athletics department at 507-537-7985.
BU finished 15-12 last season and advanced to the semifinals of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoffs.
Fourth-year head coach Mike Jewett returns three starters and his top players in rebounds and assists from last season’s 14-16 (6-14 NSIC) team. Eight returners and four newcomers make up this year's roster.
Following Saturday's game, SMSU will open the regular season at home on Nov. 20 and 21 when Truman (Mo.) and Hillsdale (Mich.) come to Marshall for the SMSU Classic.
