Two SMSU players were named to the all-tournament team

Laughlin and Kinney Named to Central Region All-Tournament Team

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Southwest Minnesota State baseball players Greg Laughlin and Andrew Kinney have been named to the NCAA Central Region All-Tournament team announced on Sunday in Grand Junction, Colo.

Laughlin, a senior second baseman from Eden Prairie, Minn., batted .500 (8-for-16) with one triple, one double, five runs scored, three RBI and 11 total bases.  He was also perfect on defense with 16 assists and five putouts.

Kinney, a junior first baseman from Coon Rapids, Minn., batted .438 (7-for-16) with two home runs, seven RBI and 13 total bases.

SMSU, the No. 5 seed in the six-team regional, finished 1-2 in the tournament to finish in fourth place.
