KC Kane named All-NSIC for fourth straight year

BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced on Tuesday that Southwest Minnesota State University senior KC Kane has been named to the 10-member All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference team as selected by the league's head coaches.

Kane, a native of Buffalo, Minn., led SMSU this season with an 82.0 stroke average in 23 rounds, with six top 10 and four top 5 finishes.

It's the fourth straight season Kane has been named All-NSIC.  She is the third Mustang in school history to earn first team all-conference honors four times in a career.  Laura Lundbohm (2000-03) and Erin Oakland (2003-07) were also four-time All-NSIC honorees.

Kane finished her career as the program's all-time leader in stroke average at 81.1 in 82 rounds and played in four straight NCAA tournaments.  In 2009-10, she set the school single-season record with a 79.6 stroke average.
