LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Southwest Minnesota State University junior
Krista Weiszhaar shot a 13-over-par 85, in the second round of the NCAA Division II National Championships and is currently in 52nd place in the 70-person field with a 28-over 172.
The championship is being held at the par 72, 6,283-yard Persimmon Ridge Golf Course in Louisville, Ky.
Daniela Ortiz from Nova Southeastern is the individual leader with a one-over 145.
Weiszhaar began today's round in 47th place after a 15-over 87 on Wednesday.
Weiszhaar on Thursday recorded eight pars, eight bogeys, one double bogey and a triple bogey. For the championship, she has one birdie, 14 pars, 14 bogeys, six double bogeys and one triple bogey.
Weiszhaar will continue action tomorrow morning for round three starting at 7:40 CDT. She is the third individual in SMSU history and the first since 2004, to compete at the NCAA Championships.
