MSU Alumni Open Results
MANKATO, Minn. – Alex Weis set a school record with a 16.26m toss in the weight throw to lead the Southwest Minnesota State track & field teams at the Minnesota State Alumni Open on Saturday.

Weis finished fourth in the weight throw and also placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 14.72m.
Will Hanson also had a strong meet placing second in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.14.
Zach Jones finished fourth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.18.
Chris Kveseth also placed high crossing the line in second in the 1-mile run at 4:35.49.

On the women's side,
Rylee Armstrong set a personal best in the long jump with a mark of 5.31m to place fourth. Armstrong also finished fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 11.09m.
Rhiannon Sears also recorded personal best in the weight throw at 13.31m to finish eighth.
Kim Shabino placed fourth in the 200 meter dash at 26.22, while
Savannah Ramirez finished fourth in the 1,000 meters with a time of 3:22.56.
SMSU will return to action next week at the North Dakota State Open in Fargo, N.D.
