Starke signs with SMSU tennis

MARSHALL, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State University head women's tennis coach Adam Henning announced on Monday the signing of Hannah Starke from Hutchinson, Minn., to a letter of intent to continue her academic and tennis career at SMSU.

Starke, a 2016 graduate of Hutchinson High School, is a three-time all-conference honoree, two-time captain and five-year letterwinner. She recorded 108 victories during her high school career.

"Hannah's competitiveness and athleticism will have an immediate impact to our team," Henning said. "Predominately a doubles player in high school, Hannah will improve our doubles play with her consistency and strong play at the net. We look forward to seeing Hannah grow both on and off the court as a Mustang."

Starke was also a letterwinner in basketball and softball and is three-time academic all-conference honoree.

Southwest Minnesota State University, located in Marshall, is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
