The 6th Annual SMSU Smokefest will be Aug. 17-18, 2012! Mark your calendars now!
The 5th annual Southwest Minnesota State University Smokefest BBQ Contest will take place on Aug. 19-20, 2011, on the campus of SMSU in Marshall. The event wlll be in conjunction with the city of Marshall's "Sounds of Summer" celebration. Enjoy a great time with friends with excellent food and live music!

2011 Smokefest Schedule of Events:
Friday, Aug. 19
-BBQ contest begins
5 p.m. -- BBQ gates open (food, beverage garden, music)
5 - 9 p.m. -- Food vending hours
6 p.m. -- Mustang Booster Club Kickoff Picnic, Regional Event Center concourse
6:30 p.m. -- SMSU football scrimmage
9 p.m. -- "Good for Gary" band
Saturday, Aug. 20
-BBQ contest continues
10 a.m. -- BBQ gates opens
10 a.m. - Shades of the Past Poker Run
12 p.m. -- Smokefest judging begins, R/A Facility
3:30 p.m. -- Smokefest awards ceremony
