COMPLETE RESULTS
MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University athletics department held the Mustang Stampede 5K Walk/Run to benefit SMSU women's athletics on Saturday, Sept. 18.
The event had 147 participants with all proceeds going towards the SMSU athletic scholarship fund. Jacob Henderson was the male winner of the 5K run with a time of 19 minutes and 13 seconds, while Lori Kesteloot was the women's winner with a time of 21:23.
Participants could run/walk as an individual or join as a team. The Pintos, led by Linda Saugstad, brought the most participants with 16 and raised the most funds with $575. Bremer Bank of Marshall was the winner of the Marshall Area Business Challenge with 11 participants raising $375.
A Women's Health and Wellness Expo was also held in conjunction with the Stampede. Sponsors included The Schwan Food Company, The Minnesota Pork Board, along with Ultimate Body Wrap, SMSU Counseling and Testing Services and the Marshall Area YMCA.
