MARSHALL, Minn. — The Southwest Minnesota State University volleyball team hosted its annual 'Late Show' intrasquad scrimmage Thursday night at the PE Gym. The SMSU volleyball team put on a show in front of a great crowd in the PE Gym to cap off day one of SMSU's 2017 Gold Rush Days.
The Mustangs split their roster into two teams and played three sets. This was the first opportunity for Mustang fans to get a look at the 2017 squad following a 28-6 campaign in 2016.
SMSU will open the season against North Alabama on Friday, Sept. 1, at 9 a.m. as a part of the West Florida Invitational in Pensacola, Fla. The Mustangs will open up the home portion of the schedule on Sept. 16 vs. Wayne State (Neb.)
