The 27th annual "David & Carol Drown SMSU Golf Classic" will be held on June 15-16 in Marshall and Tyler, Minn.
For the second straight year the event will feature a pair of five-person scramble, 18-hole tournaments, with all proceeds benefiting the SMSU athletics scholarship fund.
On Friday, June 15, an 18-hole tournament will be held at the Marshall Golf Club followed by an awards ceremony and a night full of activities, including games, live and silent auction and much more. On Saturday, June 16, an 18-hole tournament will take place at the Tyler Golf Club in Tyler, Minn.
The event, which is sponsored by the Mustang Booster Club, was renamed the “David & Carol Drown SMSU Golf Classic” during the 2011 event. David and Carol Drown, long-time supporters of SMSU athletics, helped organize the event 26 years ago and have been involved with the tournament every year.
